January
27 - February 24: Yoga classes at Village Gallery with Susannah Mele (RYA) from 12:00am - 1:00pm; cost $45 for 5 week session, or drop-ins $10 per session; contact Susannah at (864)593-0394
February
5: Opening Friday "February Heat" featuring 15+ local artists - an encaustic show, and Susan Young presents "broken requiem" art & light
5-26: New UVA Member Exhibit "New Members Paint the Town" all mediums open to new members since January 2008.
12 and 13: The First Annual Arts and Crafts Valentine Show, Artistry Workshops (12 Andrews St) Live Music and Refreshments, 14 Local Artists, live entertainment including Ed Babinski, and local music bands CCOC, Divisionary Unit and Din of Thieves. (Friday, 6pm - 10pm; Saturday,10am - 5pm)
Admission is free and open to the public and refreshments will be served throughout the event.
The participating artists include: Mary Fritz, Dabney Mahanes, Jim Gorman, Bryan Dowdall, Brian Bustard, Liza Twery, David Young, Nicole Payne, Melinda Hoffman, Jason Craft, Tammy Hennessy, Stephanie Sullivan, Suzanne Bodson, Anja Smith and Ryan Callaway.

21: Chopin's 200th Birthday (Westin Poinsett Hotel) The visual artists for this event come from different studios in Greenville, including some who have studios in the Pendleton Street Arts District. They are Dabney Mahanes, Glen Miller , Paul Flint, Mark Mulfinger, Julie Shabkie, and Carole Tinsley. Their works will be for sale at the event. 2-30: "AM10 Art & Architecture" UVA photography competition.
2-24: Art and Light Gallery, located in Greenville's Pendleton Street Arts
District will feature newcomers Benjamin McKamey and Kate Lehman Landishaw
in the April 2, 2010 First Friday opening exhibit. Benjamin presents
Cerulean Skies (2009-2010) New Paintings. Kate's work is entitled, "Trees
in S. Bernhardt Square, Paris", A Series of Abstract Drawings.

1-29: Ceramic artist Erin Jones, (Gallery 1279) and painter Katherine Aimone, (Aimone Art Studio, Asheville, NC) art show in the Village Studios and Gallery. Opening reception on First Friday, Oct. 1.
1-29: "Find It. Fit It. Fill It." UVA exhibit open to all area artists. Pre-paid wall spaces.

5-7: Open Studios
5-26: "Dual Galleries" UVA exhibit. Gallery I will have studio artists. Gallery II will be for professional artists. Guest jurors and curators.
December
3-31 Window Wonderland; Step back in time and do a little window shopping. The store windows will be decorated with white paper cutouts while outside, red bows will bring Christmas cheer from days long ago.
3-31: "Small Works & Little People" UVA juried holiday exhibit with awards. Open to all members and non-members coupled with the children's large vision of sugar plums.
